This is the Amelia's bedding (I think you can click on it to make it larger):
I'm desperate for ideas on what color to paint the walls. We're putting up a chair rail but have decided against beadboard for the simple reason that it's an added expense that we don't feel is necessary. Our carpet is beige, if that matters.
I'd rather not do pink, but I'm not dead set against it. Just worried that pink on the walls might be a little too much pink in the room.
Feel free to suggest more than one color - we're going to buy samples tonight to slap on the wall so nothing I decide today will be set in stone. Tell me what you think.

I think a pale yellow or a pale green would be nice. Or you could do a darker yellow or green below the chair rail and a paler yellow or green above. Or even the color below the chair rail and a white above. Or you could do stripes below the chair rail of all the main colors in the bedding (green, yellow, pink, blue) and a solid above.
I love stripes below a chair rail. I did that in my boys' nursery and then beadboard in my daughter's. I thought wide stripes of yellow and green with narrow pink stripes inbetween would be pretty and then put the yellow above the chair rail. Those colors will grow with a little girl, too. Most all girly bedding has those 3 colors in it. Good luck! I love painting rooms - amazing what a little paint can do!
I guess I should add that I'd love to do stripes but we have textured walls so they would look funny since there's no way to get them perfectly straight :-/
I think a pale yellow or a moss green (green is so hard to describe) would look nice. Any color that is in the bedding could work. I personally would try to paint it a color that she would like growing up and later in life so you don't have to paint it again. My parents painted my walls pink but you couldn't tell unless you looked at the white ceiling. Something like that could be considered too. Can't wait to see what you decide.
I would recommend something a bit more gender neutral, so you don't have to repaint if you decide to use the room for another child or when you change out the bedding when she gets a big girl bed in a couple of years. In the non-neutral realm, you could do a super pale pink that is barely not white. Or maybe something pale green or even pale beige (I can't remember the color of her crib). It is hard to tell if the background of the bedding is cream or white, so sorry I can't help more.
I'm going with some sort of green color. I agree that pink might be too much. Can't wait to see what you come up with! I am in love with that bedding!
Lighter green on top and a couple of shades (on the same sample stick) darker on the bottom. Like the 2 greens in the leaves. I'm sure it will look great no matter what you decide once you get the most important accessory snuggled up in there!
What about a really light green color? That would accent the bedding nice I think.
Can't wait to see what you decide!
I think pale green could be lovely. We did that for my daughter's room and had pink and white accents. It was girly without being over-the-top pinkness. If green isn't your thing, maybe a pale lavender?
Hey Cuz!
I think I'll go with what everyone else is agreeing on! I think a soft green... but it might be fun to do a light blue on the top part of the molding and then a green on the bottom. Then you could get some fun flower decals (or hand paint them) and stick them around... it'd be like it was the grass and the sky. :) Just ideas.
Lief showed me to your blog! You're a great poster! I'm a slow-be. LOL. That... and so not a cook. LOL.
