Bargains & Belly

For some reason I can't find the pictures of me as a kid that I uploaded to my home computer. I also uploaded them to Snapfish but the pictures are grayed out...I'm not sure what that's about. Anyway, hopefully pictures from my childhood to come relatively soon.

Before I forget, I wanted to show you the front of our house comparison with and without the contorted filbert.

With...
Without...

The bare spot where it used to be is that huge rock. I know I'm partial, but I like that area without Fil. We're planning to plant some flowers there soon...or something. If you have any ideas I'd love to hear them!

We put our living room couch and chair up for sale on Craigslist. We are buying my parents' couch and chair from them so we need to make room. I'll post pictures when the new furniture is in place - probably in about 2 weeks since we aren't picking it up until possibly next weekend. I love it - I can't wait. Anyway, back to Craigslist. If you ever want to post an item for sale on Craigslist, post it on a Wednesday night, Thursday, or Friday morning. That's when I've had the most number of responses to what I'm trying to sell. I posted our furniture last night around 9:30pm and as of 6am this morning I had 5 responses. If we sell it this weekend D is going to inflate our queen sized Aerobed for use as living room furniture until we get the couch from my parents. I think that should be pretty funny - maybe I'll post pictures of that, too, for posterity.

So the last time I showed you belly pictures was 18 weeks. I promised myself that I'd take belly photos in 5 week intervals, and since my timing got messed up I will show you one today. I "popped" somewhere around 16-17 weeks and didn't want to wait 20 weeks to take a picture of the progress so I broke my 5 week rule and took a picture 3 weeks after I had taken the last.

So, here I am at 18 weeks with my ragamuffin hair (on left) and 23 weeks (on right).

I feel huge. Just sayin'.

Today I'm supposed to meet a girl off Craigslist at the Market and pay her $25 for her "excellent condition" Baby Bjorn. It's identical to the $80 one we registered for! The Bjorn will be for David, mostly. When I need to wear the baby I'm hoping to use a sling. I don't think I'm going to get David to wear a flower printed sling.

It's a beautiful, sunny, albeit COLD day here in Seattle. I don't mind the cold as long as we can have the sun!

Happy Friday, everyone!

I think the front looks great without the fil - I can't wait to see the flowers you plant there. It will look great!

And maybe you feel huge - but you look fantastic! Like a healthy, beautiful pregnant mommy-to-be!

You look great!!

About the sling, which are you planning on getting? Just FYI I hate my hotsling, it KILLS my shoulder. I love my fleece Kangaroo Korner sling and am going to buy a lightweight one for the summer, it is so easy on my back and shoulder. I also love my moby wrap because it is totally hands free and I can work in the yard with Lucy in it!

;)

If you want to try a moby wrap, just let me know. I have one that I bought in nearly new condition. I only used it a few times, but enjoyed the times I did. You'd be more than welcome to try it, borrow it and probably buy it for cheap!

Mitchell always LOVED using the Bjorn with the girls. It was so cute to see a big guy with a little person tied on front!

Well... you do NOT look huge. You look adorable. And you could plant some phlox (is that how it's spelled?). It's purple and would climb all over those rocks.

You have such a beautiful home and it's amazing how the view changes with that bush out of there. I quite like it and I can't wait to see what you come up with! You look so beautiful and I love the name Amelia Ruth, so sweet.

Wishing you a wonderful weekend!

We got early belly pix - Bonus!!Sounds like a great deal for the Bjorn. (They're great.) Best wishes in selling your sofa too. Craigslist can be so helpful in saving money on kids' stuff.

How do you get your friend's list to show how recently they updated? I've tried and tried, but I can't figure it out =). Happy Monday!!!
